The Answer: Reduce your toxic load

Are you tired, can't remember what to do next or feeling generally overwhelmed?

On our healthy journey there are several areas where we need to think about reducing our toxic load. Our parents and our grandparents lived in a very different environment. Some toxins you have no control over, but some things you can clean up and it’s worth learning more!

Let me paint a picture for you. Let’s think of our lives as a bucket. Toxins and stressors get added to our bucket over time.

Toxins and stressors from:

  • personal care products

  • cleaning products

  • the environment

  • emotional stress

  • toxic thoughts

  • poor food choices

  • sickness

  • physical stressors

  • emf’s

  • stress

  • sedentary lifestyle

  • poor sleep

  • not working with our genes

  • poor water and air quality

  • basically everything else that does not help us get healthier.

If we have not lived intentionally (and sometimes even if we have), we hit our 30s and 40s and the bucket has hit it's max. Now, even small stressors are throwing our systems out of wack. Our hormones are a mess and our bodies are toxic. We are dealing with brain fog and low energy, weight loss resistance, sleep and anxiety issues and/ or chronic pain. It is possible to get rid of the toxins (at least most of them), but first we need to STOP putting the toxins in our life in the first place. At least the ones we have some control over.

How to change the trajectory of your life:

Know your WHY

First, you need to know your WHY. Why are you on this journey? For me, I want to live a long and happy life. I want to see my grandkids grow up and hold their kids too, if I get the opportunity. However, I don’t want to grow old AND sick. I want to live each day getting stronger so I can continue to live my fun, adventurous life. Your why needs to be louder than your desire for a big mack or to lay in bed instead of taking a walk or getting out in the sun most days.

It's all about perspective

Second, you must determine your perspective. Once you know your why, everything else is just a question of, “Does this support my why?”. It makes daily decisions more clear. My perspective is that our bodies are made to heal. We just need to take all interference out of the body’s way to allow it to heal. Interferences like toxins, stress, poor food choices...the list goes on!

Choose to grow and change

So, Third, we learn, grow, and change. Over the next several months, I plan to explore toxic topics like lack of sunlight and how to reduce toxic exposure in all the ways. I’ll interview local providers, and business owners who can help us on our #toxfreejourney. We’ll learn about different products that will help us on our journey too. You might not agree with everyone or everything we talk about, but even making small choices daily can increase our health and decrease toxicity! You are #worthit.

For the topics we talk about, I'll add a section at the end that helps you get your mind and body on board with your new, healthier lifestyle. I make these type of statements daily. It might seem silly or awkward at first, but my life has lined up more and more with the statements as I’ve said them. Sometimes I say them all, sometimes I pick the ones I need the most that day. What I know for sure is that they work. No pressure. Know that these are my gift to you. My heart is that we all grow healthier in every way! Blessings on your journey!

Say Out Loud

My life has purpose and meaning. I am going to be around for the long haul. My lifestyle choices support my why. I daily choose the little things that support my heath and mental well being. Daily I choose to reduce my toxic load. I am worth it. My family is worth it. I love my life!

Here's to daily choices for healthy living!
